Born in the Wrong Time Period.

We often feel like we would better suited in a different time frame, whether it be the past or the future. But how many of us know our feelings can be deceptive (just think about failed romantic relationships) and our thoughts are not always right.

You were born the exact day at the exact time period in the exact place on purpose for a purpose.

Psalm 139:16 says "You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed."

Job 14:5 reads "You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer."

Nothing about you is by chance and nothing about you is a mistake.

It's cool to be influenced by things of the past, and it's cool to look forward to the future, but your purpose is to fulfill something in the present to leave a legacy. If we feel like we're not in right time period, it's because we're not enjoying life. We're not enjoying the people around us. We're not taking advantage of what has been placed inside of us to influence the world. We're not taking advantage of resources. We're not thinking about how to improve what we don't like or bring what we like from the past in a new packaging for the now and beyond.

We're not in the wrong time period, we're in the wrong mindset.

Don't you find it interesting how life seems to flow majestically with the people who rise up and make an impact? Whether it's MLK, Malcolm X, JFK, Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln, Barack Obama, or the people who invented every single thing we use such as air conditioners or airplanes, they were born at the right time.

Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg were born at the right time.

The people who taught you what you know in your own personal life were born at the right time.

The people you admire were born at the right time.

Don't you find it interesting that Michael Jackson, Prince and Madonna were all born in the same exact year, within 3 months of each other, and made a global impact in the 80's so huge that it will stand until the end of time?

Life is intricate and intentional.

You're not here just to be here.

What will your mark be?

Or will you waste your life not realizing you're supposed to be impacting the lives of others right now.
